Country View Village is a small community south of Prue Road in San Antonio, Texas. Surrounding communities include Country View, Babcock North, Woodridge, and Oakland Estates, among others. Situated within Bexar County, Country View Village is in the 78240 zip code area.
If you want to be at one with nature and enjoy easy access to the city, Country View Village offers the best of both worlds. A chain of parkland is situated within walking distance to the west, while Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 87 run roughly north/south within a few miles to the east. These area parks include Bamberger Nature Park, Rohde Park, Leon Creek Greenway Park, Schnabel Park, and Nani Falcone Park.
Ample quality health care options are another big draw of the Country View Village neighborhood. Within a few miles to the southeast, along Medical Drive, are the Southwest Texas Medical Center and several smaller specialty centers and hospitals. These include the Methodist Specialty Transplant Hospital, San Antonio Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Texan Heart Hospital. The Oak Hills Country Club, featuring one of the most respected private courses in the country, is situated near these prominent heath care centers.
Shopping is an easy task when you live in Country View Village, with two significant area shopping centers within a few miles to the west or east. Bandera Point (to the west) offers an Old Navy, H-E-B, T.J. Maxx, and Kohl’s, among other retailers. Fiesta Trails (to the east) features a Target, H-E-B, Marshall’s, Petco, and an Office Max. There is also a cinema at Fiesta Trails. Both centers host several dining options, including IHOP, Outback Steakhouse, Chili’s, Carrabba’s, and Joe’s Crab Shack.
The University of Texas at San Antonio is within a few miles to the north.
When you live in Country View Village, there is no need to venture far from home for your shopping, dining, and entertainment needs, but should you decide to do so, downtown San Antonio is less than 30 minutes away, even in heavier traffic.
