The Apple Creek neighborhood is located in a convenient part of northern San Antonio, within ZIP code 78240. The neighborhood is situated among Evers, Huebner, Wurzbach, and Babcock Roads. The actual boundaries of the community are John Champman, Crab Orchard, Dashwood, and Santee.

This neighborhood is ideally located for people who work in the medical field because of its proximity to the San Antonio Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, Christus Santa Rosa Medical Center, Methodist Hospital, and the Southwestern Texas Medical Center. It is also convenient to Loop 1604, which extends to the more central part of the city and Interstate 410.

Houses in the community vary in size and range from roughly 1,400 to slightly less than 2,000 square feet. They are a mix of single- and two-story structures that were built primarily between 1985 and the early 1990s. As far as architectural styles, the neighborhood is a mixture of contemporary and traditional.

There is no shortage of things to do or see in San Antonio. Splashtown is the perfect place to cool off on a hot south Texas summer day. This popular water park has more than 20 acres of landscaped areas and features more than 50 different rides and other attractions. Just 32 miles north of San Antonio, Schlitterbahn has earned top honors as the best water park in the U.S.

The San Antonio Zoo is located in Brackenridge Park. Colonel George W. Brackenridge, founder of the San Antonio Express News, donated the zoo, which was originally located in San Pedro Park. Its original residents were buffalo, elk, deer, bears, lions, and monkeys. In addition to the zoo, Brackenridge Park also has a Japanese Tea Garden, a sunken garden theater, several pavilions, play scapes, athletic fields, and fishing spots in the San Antonio River.
