Frequently recognized as a great place to live, Richardson, Texas is located in Collins and Dallas Counties, just 14 miles north of downtown Dallas.

Richardson has over 5,000 companies with a focus on telecommunications. Large employers in Richardson include Fujistsu, State Farm Insurance, AT&T, Fossil, and the University of Texas at Dallas.

With low crime and excellent schools, this family-friendly city was recognized in Newsweek magazine as the second best city in Texas to raise children in 2009. It was also named the “5th Happiest Mid-Sized City in America” by Movoto.com in 2014 and one of the best places to live by by 24/7 Wall Street the same year. Richardson is home to Richland Community College and the University of Texas at Dallas. The Southern Methodist University is located a short distance away.

Commuting from your apartment in Richardson will be easy with nearby Highway 75, the George Bush Turnpike, and Interstate 635. In addition, Richardson has more DART rail stations than any other Dallas suburb.
