Skyline Terrace is right next to Midland Park Mall, making this the perfect neighborhood for the shopping fanatic. This is the northern end of the city of Midland and one of the later areas to be developed. Most structures were put up between 1970 and 1994 and offer a combination of single-family homes, duplexes, and apartments. A few complexes were built after 1995. Most of the area is pedestrian friendly, but the Texas 250 Loop Frontage Road is on the northern end. Combined with the busy mall traffic, taking a stroll across some streets might prove challenging.
Parker Elementary is the closest public school, located on Norwood Street. Also available are the private Trinity School of Midland and the Bynum School, both off of West Wadley Avenue to the south. Midland College is just over a mile away on North Garfield Street. St. Nicholas Episcopal Church is just north of the Texas 250 Loop and Believersway Church and the Fairmont Church of Christ are both on North Midland Drive to the west. Trinity Park, across from the Trinity School, offers six outdoor tennis courts suitable for day play.
The closest shopping is at Midland Park Mall. The anchor store is JC Penney. Other shops include Blockbuster Video, Dillards, Ross Dress For Less, and Sears. Services include the Sears Hair Salon, three wireless phone stores, and Eyemasters, an optometrist. Have a meal at Fuddrucker’s or in the food court featuring Jumberito, Famous Cajun Grill, and the Great American Steak Sandwich, among others.
The Texas 250 Loop heading east leads to the Midland International Airport, the commercial business park, Christensen ballpark, and Hogan Park with its off-leash dog park. Golfers will find the chance to tee off at the Midland Country Club north of the Texas 250 Loop, or at the Ranchland Hills Country Club, south of the park along West Wadley Avenue.
