Within a few minutes to the west is the Midland Park Mall, one of the most popular retail destinations in the city. At least 90 specialty shops and dining options are anchored by a Sears, Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Beall’s at this indoor shopping complex.

For outdoor recreation, residents of North Town Plaza are close to several popular options. Tumbleweed Park and Windlands Park are within walking distance, to the southeast. A few minutes directly east, via nearby Highway 250, is Hogan Park. One of the largest parks in the city, it offers 36 holes of public golfing, an off-leash dog park, and a variety of playing fields. This park is adjacent to a private golfing option, the Ranchland Hills Country Club.
