Located next to the Midland College Campus, 2100 W Wadley Place is home to students, seniors, and those in between. This area is sometimes referred to as Loop 250 because it is next to the Texas 250 Loop Frontage Road. This area is north of the downtown core and is also home to the Midland International Airpark and an adjacent business park.
Housing in the area is a mixture of single family homes, condos, and apartments. A few of the homes, particularly those built before the 1940s are on large lots with four, five or more bedrooms. Condo and apartment complexes are abundant, particularly around Midland College. Most of these were built during the 1990s and later. The area around 2100 W Wadley Place has been described as artsy, sophisticated and quiet.
Nearby schools include Fannin Elementary off of N Garfield Street, Goddard Junior High on Haynes Avenue and the private primary Hillander School on W Wadley Avenue. The Midland Community Theatre, also on W Wadley Avenue offers an opportunity to get involved in the dramatic arts and offers Theatre Education Programs. The Tumbleweeds and Windlands Park are next to the theatre. Hogan’s Run Dog Park, a five acre off-leash facility is just over a mile away on E Wadley Avenue.
Transportation is provided to the W Wadley area via the E-Z Rider bus system. Nearby restaurants include JumBurrito Mexican Food, the Garlic Press, Subway and the Strawberry Field’s Café, all within a block of 2100 W Wadley Avenue and N Garfield Street. If you head east of the airport, which is also where many of the area’s hotels are located, more eateries such as the Cattle Baron Steak and Seafood Restaurant, Texas Burger and the Sidekicks and Legends Restaurant are available.
