Mesquite, TX Apartments for Rent

Looking for the best little city in Texas? Try renting an apartment in Mesquite! More than 126,000 have already claimed this terrific suburb as home, and they’ve discovered that this “Rodeo Capital of Texas” is an action-packed city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Mesquite began as a small farming community in the late 19th century, and it remained as such until after WWII, when it gained popularity as a Dallas suburb. Today, top employers in Mesquite include the United Parcel Services and Dallas Regional Medical Center. With downtown Dallas just 12 miles west, commuting into the metro area is quick and easy.

Mesquite hosts the annual Mesquite Championship Rodeo, an event lasting from April through September. The rodeo was established in 1958 and includes events such as bull riding, bronc riding, and barrel racing. Activities for children include free face painting, pony rides, and games.

If you prefer fine arts, Mesquite has that, as well! Just head to the Mesquite Arts Center, where you can enjoy drama, art exhibits, and more. The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra and the Mesquite Symphonic Band call the Concert Hall home, while the Black Box Theater is a terrific location to enjoy productions by the Mesquite Community Theater.

Mesquite’s great shopping, fun, and entertainment includes the Town East Mall and the AMC 30 Mesquite, a large movie theater. But with over 200 days of sunshine every year, enjoy the great outdoors! Mesquite has dozens of parks featuring playgrounds, ball fields, picnic areas, hiking trails, and more. The Mesquite Golf Course is open to the public, and Westlake Tennis Center features lighted courts. Mesquite is just five miles from Lake Ray Hubbard, a popular fishing, jet-skiing, and boating location.

Recognized for over a decade as a Tree City USA, Mesquite’s natural beauty combined with its economic growth and entertainment opportunities makes it a great city to call home. Add in terrific locations such as the Mesquite Golf Club, Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the Butterfly Trail, and Opal Lawrence Historical Park and you’ll have plenty to do when you rent your apartment in Mesquite! And if all of that isn’t enough, being just a few minutes from Downtown Dallas opens up even more terrific activities, such as heading to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Dallas Zoo.
