Energy Corridor Neighborhood

The Energy Corridor District or Energy Corridor Management District was created in 2001 as a way to revitalize and improve the area within its boundaries. This highly desirable and thriving business area in West Houston runs along both sides of Interstate-10, from Tully to east of Park 10 Boulevard and along North Eldridge Parkway, starting at Interstate-10 and continuing south of Briar Forest.

This growing area is close to the hospitals, clinics, and facilities that are associated with the prestigious Texas Medical Center, home to famous institutions such as M.D. Anderson, Memorial Hermann Hospital, the Texas Children’s Hospital, and many large multinational companies and beautiful parks.

Because of rapid growth, existing walking, hiking, jogging, and bike trails will soon connect to new trails and paths, making it possible for area residents to walk or bike to work. Milly Bush Dog Park, the first Dog Park to exist within the Harris County Park System, is located in the 7800-acre George Bush Park. Other features of George Bush Park include hiking and biking areas, an equestrian area, a nature preserve, a playground, and model airplane fields.

Golfers will be thrilled with the wealth of golfing opportunities in the area, including the Golf Club at Cinco Ranch. The 5,000 acre master-planned community features an 18-hole course on a challenging layout. Bear Creek Golf Course is the first non-municipal daily fee course in the area. The Master’s Course has consistently been ranked by Golf Digest as one of the country’s top 50 courses.

Business areas connect the park-like settings to luxury urban apartments such as Elan Briar Forest and attractive high-end residential communities that are surrounded by green space.
