Roughly 10 miles south of New Braunfels and 30 miles east of San Antonio, Seguin is an attractive suburban city with several golf courses, beautiful parks, and an abundance of nearby lakes. The city also features Seguin Aquatic Center, the ZDT Amusement Center, and the Seguin Events Complex.
One of Seguin’s more unique parks is Walnut Springs Park. It is a historical area with several walkways and bridges along the springs. The park was first developed in the 1920s and was named a Legacy Park by the Texas Recreation and Park Society in 2012. Another important park, Seguin Central Park, is the location of several festivals, including Freedom Fiesta, Trade Days, and other events such as car shows and live music.
When you find a Seguin apartment to rent, you’ll be near several recreational lakes. Lake Dunlap is popular for boating and fishing. Lake Seguin includes the Seguin Paddling Trail, a popular canoeing and kayaking destination. Lake McQueeny Recreational Area is considered the Water Ski Capital of Texas, while Lake Nolte and Lake Placid are popular boating and fishing destinations.
