Part of Vista Hills Park is a triangular shaped piece built in the middle of golf greens belonging to the Vista Hills Golf Course. Access is via Bruce Devlin Drive off of Vista Del Sol Drive to the south. Gary Player Drive and Don January Drive ring the outer edges and Ken Still Lane, Dave Marr Court, and Rod Curl Lane make up this part of Vista Hilla Park. This triangle in the midst of the golf greens is pure suburbia whose silence is mostly broken by the occasional shout of “fore” or the excitement over a rare hole-in-one.
Along the southern end, Vista Del Sol Drive is home to more single family homes and apartments that frame the southern end of the golf course. This is the only part of Vista Hills Park that has any commercial services. At the eastern end of Vista Del Sol Drive at North Lee Trevino Drive is a four-cornered mall area. Businesses include Wells Fargo Bank, Chase Bank, the Southwest Neuro-Spine Institute, and the Stevenson Dental Clinic. Restaurants in this area include the Southern Maid Donut Shop, Chili’s, Taco Bell, and Delaney’s.
Schools and churches are likewise outside the triangle. The Kinder Care Learning Center on Vista Del Sol Drive and the El Paso Academy on Argal Court in the south are the closest. The JM Hanks High School is north at the corner of North Lee Trevino Drive and Montwood Drive. These two streets form another nearby commercial area housing Albertsons supermarket, Kmart, Target, a seven screen movie theater, and more restaurants. St Timothy Lutheran Church and Desert View United Church are both on Montwood Drive. The Iglesia Cristiana Un Nuevo on Lomaland Drive is on the southern edge of Vista Hills Park and offers some services in Spanish.
