The Scotsdale community is located on the east side of El Paso, Texas, roughly 10 miles from the downtown area. Sandwiched between the communities of Cork and Pebble Brook, Scotsdale is immediately south of the El Paso International Airport, making this an ideal neighborhood for frequent travelers. This large neighborhood is bounded by Montana Avenue, U.S. Highway 62, and U.S. Highway 180 on the north; Wedgewood Drive on the west, Edgemere Boulevard on the south; and North Yarbrough Drive on the east. The zip code for this El Paso County community is 79925.
The vast majority of the Scotsdale neighborhood is residential, consisting mostly of single-family homes, but a few townhome communities and apartment buildings are situated in the northern portion of the neighborhood. The northern boundary of this community, along the highway, is also host to several commercial buildings. Most of these commercial offerings cater to the nearby airport, including a rental car company and several eateries.
The community’s southern boundary is home to the Edgemere Elementary School and Tyrone Park – a small community park along Tyrone Road. Another small neighborhood park – Suffolk Park – is situated just outside of neighborhood bounds on the south.
Residents of Scotsdale are also within walking distance of Eastwood Park, located to the south along Album Avenue. This large park offers at least five softball/baseball diamonds, several soccer/football fields, a tennis court, playground, indoor recreation center, and plenty of open green space for picnics and outdoor activities.
For local shopping, the nearby highway offers several retailers, but residents are also just a short drive from the Cielo Vista Mall, situated a few miles to the southeast, along Interstate 10.
