The Lindberg neighborhood is part rural, part suburban. South of Mulberry Avenue there is still a working farm. From that same street north to West Redd Road is a quiet suburban neighborhood centered around La Estancia Circle. Homes on the inside and outside of this circle are large, single-family, upscale structures, some on wedge-shaped lots. Along West Redd Road are an assortment of smaller homes and apartment complexes. The entire neighborhood is less than a mile north of the El Paso Country Club and Golf Course.
Lincoln Middle School, on the corner of Mulberry Avenue and Warriors Drive is next to the farm, giving the campus a rural atmosphere. One block east on Mulberry is the River Bend & Equestrian Center. Other schools in the area are Lindbergh Elementary and Mitzi Bond Elementary, both on Lindbergh Avenue. There is quite the collection of churches including The Rio Church on McCutcheon Lane, St Francis Xavier on Doniphan Drive, and the Jubilee Worship Center on Montoya Drive.
Restaurants, services and shops are found along Doniphan Drive, which has a series of strip malls along its length. Just off of West Redd Road are Jazzercise, 84 Lumber, the Upper Valley Urgent Care Center, a 7-Eleven, and the Country Club Animal Clinic. Restaurants include sit-down affairs such as Red Peppers and Los Jarrones, or fast food name brands like Sonic Drive-In and Domino’s. Just east of Doniphan Drive along East Redd Road is the Adventure Zone Mini-Golf and Arcade Center. Less than four miles east is the Franklin Mountains State Park. El Paso Community College-Northwest Campus is three miles north via Interstate 10.
