The Bradley neighborhood is about 20 minutes northeast of downtown El Paso, Texas and only miles south of the New Mexico state border. The neighborhood lies immediately south of Highway 54 and just west of Farm-to-Market Road 2929. Nearby communities include Cooperstown, Pleasant Hills East, Palomino, and Veteran’s Park.
This residential and commercial community offers a variety of housing options that suit many family and individual needs. While the entire El Paso area offers striking panoramic mountain views, Bradley is a safe and pedestrian-friendly community with wide roadways lined with sidewalks.
Large employers in the area include the El Paso Independent School District, Fort Bliss, the Ysleta Independent School District, the City of El Paso, and the University of Texas at El Paso. The Castner Range–Fort Bliss Military Reservation lies slightly to the southwest of Bradley. Fort Bliss itself, a US Army base with multiple missions and functions, consists of 1,700 square miles to the north and east of the community.
The 24,000-acre Franklin Mountains State Park Veteran’s Park, which lies to the west of Bradley, is considered the largest urban park in the United States. Popular options for recreation include biking, hiking, camping, and picnicking. Visitors also come there to enjoy a number of species of birds and other wildlife.
Shopping for area residents is very convenient. Kenworthy Crossing is at the intersection of Kenworthy Drive and Gateway North Boulevard. Residents can do their grocery shopping, get a car wash, make a stop at the pharmacy, pick up a movie, and grab dinner all in one quick stop. Northpark Shopping Center is also nearby, located to the south of the community.
