Park Forest North is a neighborhood in Plano, Texas, a suburb to the north of downtown Dallas. The borders of the neighborhood include West Spring Creek Parkway to the south and Spanish Trail to the north, the most western point is Custer Road and the east is The Main Street Townhouses which are not in this neighborhood.
One of the big attractions of this neighborhood is the Bluebonnet Trail which runs right through the Park Forest North neighborhood. This trail is maintained by the Plano Park and Recreation Department and is meant for the use and enjoyment of walkers, runners, joggers and cyclists. Everyone who uses the trail is asked to follow the rules and be courteous to fellow users. Dogs are allowed on the Bluebonnet Trail but must be kept on a leash no more than six feet long and of course you are expected to pick up after your pet.
Park Forest North is a large residential neighborhood comprised of many different small streets. It is quiet and tree-lined. There are sidewalks so walking will be enjoyable. The homes are small and single-story for the most part. The exterior of the houses are varied including stone, brick and wood frame. Some of the homes are rentals but the majority are owner-occupied.
Thomas Elementary School is located within the neighborhood. While Park Forest North is a residential neighborhood there are restaurants and stores close by on West Spring Creek Parkway.
