The North Arlington neighborhood is located in ZIP code 76006. It is within Arlington, a city with a population of around 380,000 as of the 2010 census, making it the third largest city in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. This is easily one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in all of Arlington. North Arlington has some very large, multi-million-dollar houses. Some are on large expanses of property, affording them such amenities as their own golf courses or breathtakingly beautiful views of the wooded area in which they are nestled.
Most of the homes here are single-family residences that were built within the past 25 years of so. Styles run the gamut from very contemporary homes to elaborate Italian-style villas.
Arlington boasts all sorts of amenities, whether an individual’s interests lie in the arts, sports, shopping, or other areas. For music and theater enthusiasts, Arlington has the Metropolitan Classical Ballet, Symphony Arlington, Theater Arlington, and the Arlington Community Band. For art lovers, the city hosts the Arlington Art Museum, the Center for Research and Contemporary Art, the Gallery at the University of Texas at Arlington, and the Upstairs Gallery. North Arlington residents can also enjoy the American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum.
One of newer attractions to the city of Arlington is the Cowboys Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The stadium was moved from Irving after the former stadium lost its roof in a ferocious windstorm.
Arlington is also home to the headquarters of American Mensa and that of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region IV.
