This suburban area is primarily residential but is close to major streets and commercial establishments. The northern border of Heritage, located in the 76244 zip code, is the neighborhood’s namesake, Heritage Trace Parkway. This street is home to most of the commercial development in this area. Making up Heritage’s western border is Interstate Highway 35 West, and North Beach Street acts as the eastern border. To the south, North Tarrant Parkway divides this neighborhood from adjacent areas including Parkview and Brittany Place.

Houses in the area are large. Most are two-story white stone or red brick National construction. Pedestrians and cyclists have space to travel along major roads, but due to traffic they should make sure to wear protective gear and be aware of traffic while traveling.

In the north part of the neighborhood a cluster of medical practitioner offices offer residents easy access to pediatricians, neurologists, and several other specialists. Despite being primarily residential, Heritage is home to some major Keller attractions, like the large shopping center in the neighborhood’s northwestern corner. This mall is home to JC Penny, Best Buy, Rooms to Go, and Hobby Lobby. The mall also houses an animal hospital, a sports medicine practice, and other retail and service establishments like Massage Envy. Restaurants in the mall area include Cheddar’s, Jason’s Deli and Which Wich.
