Eldorado Heights is a master-planned division located in the Eldorado Parkway and Lake Forest Drive area in McKinney, about 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. Eldorado Heights Phase I community is east of Lake Forest Drive. Eldorado Heights Phase II is demarcated by Lake Forest Drive, FM 720, Ridge Road, and Eldorado Parkway. These two communities are managed by separate homeowners’ associations.
This quiet, family-friendly neighborhood is good for young families. Some of the McKinney Independent School District schools are in the area, such as Reuben Johnson Elementary (with an exemplary rating), Evans Middle School, McKinney High School and Jesse McGowen Elementary. The different campuses of Collin County Community College – now known as Collin College – offer Associate degrees, continuing education programs and Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral programs from five North Texas universities.
Medical services are well within reach too. The Methodist McKinney Hospital can be found at the corner of Stonebridge Drive and Eldorado Parkway. The Medical Center of McKinney at 4500 Medical Center Drive has a full-service 24/7 Emergency Department, amongst other services.
Eldorado Parkway is lined with stores and restaurants catering to the residents’ needs. Eldorado Heights residents can also enjoy some of the best shopping in North Dallas at Stonebriar Mall (2601 Preston Road, Frisco), Allen Premium Outlets (820 West Stacy Road, Allen) and the upscale The Shops at Willowbend (Park Boulevard and Dallas North Tollway, Plano).
Eldorado Heights is connected with the rest of the Metroplex via the US75-Central Expressway, which is seven minutes away, State Highway 121, which is six minutes away) and the North Dallas Tollway, twenty minutes away.
