Coit/Ridgeview is a neighborhood that is quite near Sam Rayburn Tollway. The nearby Centennial Medical Center is great for the entire area, and sees to the needs of the community. It is a full service hospital. It has a 118 bed capacity, along with over 20 beds in the emergency center, and a well staffed maternity ward. Having a hospital so close by is a boon to the neighborhood, making sure that those who need medical attention can get it quickly.
There is also a large shopping center within a couple miles, called Stonebriar. This makes shopping easy for the residents. The area also has a variety of businesses located inside the neighborhood.
There is available recreation at Russel Creek Park, near Coit/Ridgeview. This is by no means a small park. It offers a playground, bike and hike trails, as well as areas for baseball and soccer. The park also has many splendid trees. Making it even more appealing is a small lake within the park. The park has a good sized parking lot for the use of the community.
There are a number of area parks that are also a short distance from Coit/Ridgeview, used for recreation, relaxation, and outdoor activities. This includes Chase Oaks Golf Course, though that may not properly be thought of as a park. Still, it is a well manicured and beautiful site. This area has a number of biking and hiking trails, in addition to the park trails.
Education is important to the people of Coit/Ridgeview. Luckily, this isn’t an issue. Skaggs Elementary School and Rice Middle School are located close to the park.
This community has both modest and very nice homes, fit for a range of incomes.
