The Glade is a neighborhood in southeast College Station, Texas, within Brazos County. It is bounded by Glade Street and Langford Street on the west and Southwest Parkway on the south. On the north, it extends to Holleman Drive and roughly to Timm Drive. The neighborhood’s eastern boundary is less conspicuous, but it extends to include all of Glade Street. The Glade is in the 77840 zip code area. Among the many neighboring communities are Lemon Tree, Ridgefield, Lawyer Street, and Holleman – Dobrovolny.

This community consists of just a few dozen single-family homes along Glade Street and Laura Lane. Like much of College Station, the homes here are situated on fairly wooded lots, with plenty of tree cover for shade and privacy.

There are no parks within The Glade neighborhood bounds, but several parks are situated within a short distance of the community, including Bee Creek Park, Lemon Tree Park, Anderson Athletic Park and Gabbard Park. The latter spans nearly 11 acres along Dexter Drive South and is one of the most popular parks in the city. It offers a pond stocked with fish and featuring several fishing piers. Other amenities include a jogging trail, picnic shelter, playground, and practice softball fields.

The Glade neighborhood is situated less than one mile southeast of College Stations’ crown jewel – Texas A&M University. The oldest public university in the state, Texas A&M is home to award-winning faculty and is nationally recognized as a top research institution. Potentially within walking distance of the university, The Glade could make an ideal neighborhood for aspiring college students or university faculty.

Schools within walking distance of The Glade include South Knoll Elementary School, located just outside of neighborhood bounds on Boswell Street.
