The Briarcrest area, which is located in zip code 77802, includes several neighborhoods, including Briarcrest Northwest, Briarcrest West #1, Briarcrest Forest, Briarcrest Estates and Quail Creek Villa. The entire area is bounded by Trophy Drive to the north, Quail Hollow Drive to the south, Camelot Drive to the west, and Arbor Drive and the Earl Rudder Freeway to the east. The western edge of the community lies at the edge of Camelot Park.
The entire residential area of these neighborhoods is built around the Briarcrest Country Club, so there are only single family homes that surround the country club. Briarcrest Northwest is a deed restricted community for people who are age 55 or older. Many of the Briarcrest Estates homes have great views of the golf course.
Briarcrest Country Club is the only semi-private country club in the Bryan/College Station area. It has been around since 1955 and has a championship 18 hole golf course. Other features of the club include a comprehensive fitness center, a swimming pool, tennis facilities, a pool and a gorgeous patio area where people can also dine. The restaurant is open to the public every day, and it’s menu is a good mix of fine and casual dining.
Camelot Park, which is located at the edge of the community is just across from Blinn College/Bryan. It has a professionally designed nine hole disc golf course and a 1/4 mile walking and jogging trail. The disc golf course occupies 21 acres.
Bryan is also home to the award winning Messina Hof Winery and Resort. No other Texas winery has received as many awards as Messina Hof. It makes over 50 different varieties of wine, and visitors to the winery can enjoy wine tasting in the wine master’s tasting room bar. Additionally, the restaurant offers fine dining, using local ingredients and wines from the winery with virtually all of their cuisine.
