Starkefield is a neighborhood east of Interstate 35 in the Austin, Texas suburb of Round Rock. It is situated approximately 30 minutes north of downtown Austin, near the neighborhoods of Brushy Slope and Brushy Slope Addition. The neighborhood consists mostly of single-family residences along Circle Avenue, just south of East Palm Valley Boulevard. This large park is the site of the Dell Diamond, home of the minor league baseball team – the Round Rock Express. It also hosts the Rock ‘N River Family Aquatic Center; this waterpark offers a variety of attractions, from water slides, to a water playground, to a lazy river. The park also offers a wide range of more traditional amenities, including playing fields, playgrounds, walking trails, and tennis courts.
A few miles west of Starkefield is one of the Austin area’s most prominent medical facilities – the St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. This facility not only offers a convenient, quality health care option for area residents, but it is one of the city’s largest employers as well.
