Hunters Ridge is a neighborhood along Interstate 35 in Round Rock, Texas, less than 20 miles north of Austin. This primarily residential area covers .035 square miles of land west of I-35 and Morrow Street, including a portion of Buckboard Boulevard. Hunters Ridge encompasses the 78664 and 78681 zip code area, within Williamson County. Surrounding neighborhoods include Chisholm Valley South, Cushing Park, and the Southgate Apartments.
Just over 200 Texans call the Hunters Ridge neighborhood home. Most of the homes here were built in the 1980s.
Hunters Ridge residents are easily within walking distance of several area parks. The closest to home – Chisholm Valley Park – is largely undeveloped, but a bit further north is the Round Rock West Park. Frontier Park, to the southwest along Frontier Trail, offers two tennis courts, a basketball court, and walking trails, among other amenities.
Nearby I-35 offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options that are convenient to Hunters Ridge residents. Options close to home are a bookstore, Radio Shack, 7-Eleven, and several dining options, including an Outback Steakhouse. For more entertainment options, residents head south to the city of Austin, commonly known as the live music capital of the nation.
Schools in the Hunters Ridge area include Voigt Elementary School, situated just on the other side of I-35 on Cushing Drive. Bluebonnet Elementary School is located a short distance to the west, along Chisholm Valley Drive.
