The Golden Oaks neighborhood is nestled in a quiet and charming community with a lot of activities and features that make it one of the most sought-after locations in Georgetown.
There are a number of outdoor activities and parks within walking or driving distance of the Golden Oaks neighborhood. Golden Oaks is just three miles from the crystal clear waters of Lake Georgetown, a beautiful lake located in the heart of Georgetown. One of the most popular features of Lake Georgetown is the parks that line this lake, all within a few miles miles of this community. Jim Hogg Park is located along Lake Georgetown, and offers fishing, camping, boating, and picnics. Across the lake from Jim Hogg Park is Cedar Breaks Park. This is a park with beautiful scenery such as bluffs and therefore not recommended for swimming, but locals come here to launch their boats or to enjoy some hiking.
Located less than a half mile from Golden Oaks is Church on Rock, a very popular local church that enjoys great attendance from local residents. Church on the Rocks offers two Sunday services and one on Wednesday, including wonderful programs for children.
Less than a mile away is the award-winning McCoy Elementary school, which caters to grades 3-5. Close to McCoy Elementary is Georgetown High School, a perfect place to enjoy those Texas Friday night football games at the BE Berkelbach Football Stadium and cheer on those Georgetown Eagles.
