Located in fast-growing suburb of Round Rock, the neighborhood of Fullerton is situated below popular Old Settlers Park. The small community is bordered by Doris Lane to the north, Red Bud Lane to the west, Highland Estates Drive to the south, and Valley View Drive to the east. It’s a short five-mile drive from Highway 130, and 23 miles from downtown Austin.
Wide sidewalks on most streets allow children to walk or bike to school at Forest Creek Elementary School, Blackland Prairie Elementary School, Ridgeview Middle School, and Cedar Ridge High School. College students can attend nearby Austin Community College Round Rock Campus, Central Texas Beauty College, and Texas A&M Health and Science Center.
Two miles north of the village is Old Settlers Park. A hub of entertainment, the 570-acre park features dozens of baseball diamonds, several soccer fields, an aquatics center, and facilities for Frisbee golf and cricket. Residents also enjoy the park’s picnic areas, events center, and three miles of trails. Nearby, Round Rock Dog Depot provides a state-of-the-art agility course and a safe place for dog owners to let their pets roam off-leash. Yet more athletic opportunities can be found at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, including two full-sized gyms, racquetball courts, and a skate park.
For shopping, residents head to the Round Pock Premium Outlets and East Chandler Road Retail Center. The outlet stores feature designer brands at affordable prices. The retail center offers chain shops and restaurants typical of a high-end suburban mall.
Fullerton’s convenient location near schools, shopping, and parks have made the growing community a highly-desired neighborhood.
