Austin Addition is a neighborhood in the suburb of Round Rock, roughly 20 miles northeast of Austin, Texas. It is situated just north of the Texas 45 Toll, about a mile and a half east of Interstate 35 and a few miles west of State Highway 30. Close proximity to the interstate and to Highway 1, which provides a nearly direct route into Austin, is one of the major draws of the Austin Addition neighborhood, but it isn’t all that this community has to offer. Approximately two miles north of Austin Addition is one of the area’s largest attractions – Old Settlers Park. Sandwiched between Old Settlers Boulevard and Palm Valley Boulevard, this 570-acre park offers a very long list of amenities, including a disc golf course, five-field softball complex, 20-field baseball complex, soccer facilities, walking/biking trails, and two pavilions for picnics and BBQs.

Some of the more unique amenities offered at Old Settlers Park include a cricket field, an area for flying remote control airplanes, and a shuffleboard course. The Rock ‘N River Family Aquatic Center, a water park with waterslides, lazy river, and water playground, is also on park grounds. Finally, the Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express minor league baseball team, can be found here as well.

Old Settlers Park may be one of the area’s biggest attractions, but it isn’t the only thing that Austin Addition has to offer. Within a few miles east of the community, along Highway 130, is the Stone Hill Town Center. This popular outdoor retail center offers a movie theater, a 24-hour fitness center, and a variety of merchants. Some of the big names you’ll find here include Office Depot, Best Buy, Petco, Ross, Home Depot, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. There are also several dining options, including Panda Express and Whataburger.
