Southeast of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, on a small mass of land jutting into the western shore of Percy Priest Lake is the neighborhood of Woodland Point. Woodland Point consists of single-family homes, townhouses, and an apartment complex by the name of “The Hamptons at Woodland Point.” Percy Priest Lake is within walking distance, and Elm Hill Marina is just to the north.
The Elm Hill Marina can handle any type and size of boat up to an 80-foot house boat. Boat rentals are available. Also on the premises are a store and a restaurant. Percy Priest Lake itself is a great place for fishing, boating, swimming, windsurfing, and waterskiing. To the north of Elm Hill Marina, along the shores of Percy Priest Lake, is Nashville Shores Waterpark, which features a beach area for swimming.
The Hamptons occupies the northwestern portion of Woodland Point. It features contemporary floor plans, a pool, a fitness center, and picnic/barbeque areas. Woodland Point is about a five-minute drive to the Hermitage. Now a museum, it was the home of President Andrew Jackson. Schools near Woodland Point include Donelson Christian Academy and McGavock High School.
Ellendale’s Restaurant is located in an historic farmhouse and has its own garden. The restaurant has been featured is the magazine “Country Weekly.” There is entertainment nightly.
Two Rivers Golf Course and Gaylord Springs Golf Links are some of the nearby places to get in a round of golf. To the west of Woodland Park and just minutes away are all of the attractions of downtown Nashville and the Opryland complex.
