The community of Tulip Grove in Hermitage, Tennessee is situated between the city’s retail sectors and a historical landmark. Several major highways connect the city of Hermitage to greater Nashville, as well as nearby Nashville International Airport.
The residential community is bound by the Confederate Memorial Cemetery to the northwest, Lebanon Pike/Highway 70 and Tulip Grove Apartments to the north, an irrigation canal to the south, and the communities of Stoner’s Glen and Heritage Meadows to the southwest. Nearby neighborhoods also include the communities of Sunset Park, Brookcastle, Cedar Creek, Greer Meadows, and Brookside Woods, which are all located to the east. Tulip Grove Road, Highway 70, and the Andrew Jackson Parkway also lie to the east of the community.
A station for the Nashville-Davidson County’s light rail system, Music City Star, sits to the south and serves the communities of Hermitage and Old Hickory.
The closest historical landmark to Tulip Grove is the Confederate Memorial Cemetery, which is between Andrew Jackson Parkway and Highway 70. This is where more than 400 confederate soldiers and an ex-slave are buried.
Highway 70 turns east near Tulip Grove. On this eastward turn are three shopping centers. Hills Shopping Center, which is west of Tulip Grove Apartments, is the closest. The much larger Hermitage Plaza Shopping Center and Oakwood Commons sit across the street.
Tulip Grove Elementary School and DuPont-Tyler Middle School are off Andrew Jackson Parkway in the community of Alan Estates, which is a block west of Tulip Grove.
