It has walking trails and canoeing is allowed on the lake.

Several of the wealthier residents of Thrible Springs belong to the Brentwood Country Club, which is four miles to its west. The club offers an 18-hole, championship golf course, an aquatic center with a junior Olympic-sized pool, special events, on-site dining, and a luxurious clubhouse. Others are members of the Richland Country Club, which has sprawling, picturesque golf courses, tennis courts, and a pool.
