The city of Hermitage, Tennessee is an incorporated section of Davidson County. Hermitage was named in honor of former President Andrew Jackson. Saddlebrook is bordered by Chandler Road on the northwest. The main road into the neighborhood is Saddlebrooke Place, which ends in a cul-de-sac. Saddle Trail Court runs off the main road to the east and also ends in a cul-de-sac. Residences are nicely spaced with mature trees that provide privacy and shade. Dodson Elementary School is just outside the western boundary of the neighborhood.
Commuting options are readily available for Saddlebrook residents. The Music City Star rail line is a commuter service just north of Chandler Road, and it has a stop located within walking distance of the neighborhood. Interstate 40 is just to the south, and Highway 70 is one mile west. Plenty of shopping and dining is available within minutes, including the Northlake Village shopping center just to the south on Highway 45. Several additional mall areas are within one mile to the north.
The northwestern banks of J. Percy Priest Reservoir and Nashville Shores Park are less than two miles south of the community. The park and lake areas have fishing, boating, and plenty of family recreation. A round of golf can be enjoyed at Ravenwood County Club, which is one mile to the west. The Hermitage, the former residence of Andrew Jackson, is now a museum and national historic landmark that covers more than 1,000 acres. Only a mile north of Saddlebrook, the museum offers residents historical education and relaxing strolls through the grounds.
