Gallatin Pike is a main thoroughfare, with many neighborhood conveniences situated along it. There are two major grocery stores, a hardware store and a pharmacy close by, as well as many national fast-food restaurants and local eateries. Inglewood Library, a branch of Nashville Public Library system, is just north of the Maynor Place neighborhood. Along with the usual services and offerings of a good public library, the Inglewood Branch has great programs for ages preschool through adult. Recent programs had patrons up and dancing as they focused on jazz and hip-hop.

South Inglewood Park is a small, pleasant neighborhood park and the site of the community art program sponsored by The Frist Center for the Visual Arts. A YMCA is just east of the park. Both are about a mile southeast of Maynor Place. A much larger park, Shelby Bottoms, is only a bit farther away. With hundreds of acres, miles of trails and a nature center, it is one of the largest parks in Nashville.

Crescent Plaza Shopping Center is nearby on Gallatin Pike. The massive Opry Mills is only a few miles east. With countless retail outlets, including a Bass Pro Shop, it is one of the most comprehensive malls anywhere.

The top entertainment spot for residents of Maynor Place has to be the nearby Grand Ole Opry, located next to Opry Mills. There are almost two dozen movie theaters in this district, as well as numerous restaurants.
