Jones Buena Vista Apartments for Rent
Flanked by the mighty Cumberland River and just minutes from downtown, the community of Jones/Buena Vista is a highly sought-after neighborhood. Most residences in this scenic neighborhood are located just several blocks from the river’s edge.
One of the many appealing aspects of living in Jones/Buena Vista is the community’s namesake park, Buena Vista Park. This scenic greenway, which is situated in the northern section of the neighborhood, has a large open field perfect for playing soccer, and wooded areas with hiking trails.
Just to the north of Buena Vista Park is the Watkins College of Art, which overlooks a small harbor of the Cumberland. This four-year art, design, and film college has a 60,000 square-foot facility, two residence halls, and covers 13 acres.
Not too far away to the east, just past the Interstate 65, lie Morgan Park, and the Morgan Park Recreation Center. The park features a baseball and soccer field, and the recreation center has a gym and fitness facility.
A short distance from Morgan and to the southeast of Jones/Buena Vista is the Bicentennial Mall State Park. This well-manicured, 19-acre park sits outside of the State Capitol in downtown Nashville. Park rangers give tours of the park, which was designed to augment the architecture of the Capitol building. There are geyser fountains that erupt periodically – each representing one of Tennessee’s rivers. The walls that surround the park have the state’s historical timeline etched into them. The Tennessee State Capitol was built during a 14-year time period from 1845 to 1859, and is considered a National Historic Landmark.
