Fairview is a neighborhood in the Nashville suburb of Madison. Northeast of downtown, Fairview is in the 37115 zip code. The boundaries of Fairview are Snow Avenue on the west, May Drive on the north and east, and Anderson Lane on the south.
Fairview is a quiet place with lots of trees lining the streets. The deep front yards are a green buffer between the roads and houses. With plenty of open space and shady places to play, the neighborhood is filled with signs that children will be at play, if they aren’t already.
The Cumberland River runs less than a mile from Fairview, and the Old Hickory Lake Reservoir is a few minutes drive. The lake and river have plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors. Fishing, boating, hiking, bird watching, and camping are just a few of the outdoor activities and recreational facilities that line the nearly 100 mile long shoreline of Old Hickory Lake.
The Nashville area has plenty of golf courses and great weather most of the year. From Fairview, Eller’s Golf Course is less than ten minutes away and is a public course that follows the Cumberland River with a great view. The Old Hickory Country Club is just as close, and offers a “members only” experience with social activities, swimming, tennis, and a spectacular course carved out of the woodlands.
Pro sports fans have plenty to occupy their time in Nashville. The Tennessee Titans of the NFL play at LP Field in downtown. The town has also taken the Nashville Predators as their own and hockey fans like to come early to catch the NHL games at Bridgestone Arena.
