Echo Meadows is a community located in the greater metropolitan area of Nashville. The area is mainly comprised of ranch-style houses, most of which were built in the 1960s and 70s. The area is located south of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard and west of Gallatin Pike North. Interstate 65 runs adjacent to the community on the west.
Residents are close to the RiverGate Mall, a favorite shopping complex in the Goodlettsville area. The shopping center features over 150 retailers and restaurants, and is anchored by large retailers Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Macy’s. Other popular shops featured at the mall include RadioShack, Dakota Watch Company, Claire’s, Rack Room Shoes, and Abercrombie and Fitch. Patrons enjoy getting a bite to eat at the Scoops and Smoothies Café, the Cookie Store, or Sbarro the Italian Eatery.
In addition to being close to retailers and restaurants, residents are also within easy reach of area parks. Madison Park is located directly south of the community, while Cedar Hill Park can be found to the southwest. Golfers in the community can play a round at the Ellers Golf Course, which is located southeast of the neighborhood. Anglers can head to the nearby Old Hickory Lake for a day of fishing.
Temperatures in Nashville are, for the most part, mild throughout the year. Winter temperatures rarely drop below freezing during the daytime hours, and summer averages a balmy 80 degrees during July. As a result, residents can enjoy visiting area parks all year long.
The neighborhood is considered walkable. However, because it is located close to the interstate, most residents depend on their vehicles for travel.
