Day Creek Pointe is a Nashville metropolitan neighborhood that is made up of established ranch-style homes and condos. The residences sit on fairly large lots shaded by canopies of cottonwoods, maples, and walnut trees. The arboretums invite the songs of warblers, cardinals, and sparrows, all of which are indigenous to the area.
The community is bordered by Dickerson Road on the west and Rivergate Parkway on the north and east. West Old Hickory Boulevard runs along the southern boundary of the community. Interstate 65 can be accessed easily just to the east of the community. The highway makes it easy for residents to visit a number of area retailers located in such local shopping venues as the Shoppes at Rivergate, Northside Marketplace, McHenry Shopping Center, and Goodlettsville Shopping Center.
Golfers in the community are close to the Ellers Golf Course and Old Hickory Lake Golf Course. In addition, residents who enjoy mountain biking can find a challenging trail at the Old Hickory Lake recreational area, which is to the east. The natural site is also a haven for locals who like to fish, boat, and hike.
Although the neighborhood is considered fairly walkable, most residents use a car to gain access to areas where they can walk or exercise. The weather seems to cooperate most of the time, and residents experience fairly mild temperatures throughout the year. The mercury rarely dips below freezing during the daytime hours in the winter, and the temperature averages about 80 degrees in July.
