Charles Place is a small neighborhood in Hermitage, Tennessee. It is located just off South New Hope Road and south of Interstate 40. With under 100 residents, it’s a quaint and close-knit community. Surrounding subdivisions include Roxborough, Bridgewater, Windchase, Lakeshore, Baypointe, Lake Chateau Condos, Hampton Hall, Hagars Grove, New Hope Point, and Meadows at Seven Points.
Several important services are close to Charles Place. The Nashville International Airport is five minutes to the southwest. Cornelia Fort Airpark, the Fall Creek Field, and the Sumner County Regional Airport are also nearby.
Charles Place is a popular place for college students to live. The University of Memphis at Hermitage is within walking distance of the community. The Art Institute of Tennessee, which has a renowned and very specialized program for artists, is two and a half miles to the west. Argosy University, Remington College, Anthem Career College, and the International Academy of Design and Technology are all within six miles of the neighborhood.
Educational opportunities expand far beyond the classroom at several historic sites near the neighborhood. The former home of Andrew Jackson and the namesake of the city of Hermitage is only a few miles away. The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the Lane Motor Museum, the Grand Ole Opry Museum, and the Tennessee Central Railway Museum also serve the cultural needs of the community.
