On the north side of Hermitage, Tennessee is the small neighborhood of Cedar Creek. Located west of Tulip Grove Road in the 37076 zip code, Cedar Creek is a residential area with mature trees and walkable, winding lanes.
Cedar Creek is convenient to shopping at the Hermitage Plaza Shopping Center. In addition to national retailers, there are two large grocery stores, specialty shops, and dining options. To the west of Cedar Creek, off Andrew Jackson Parkway, is a post office and the Dupont-Tyler Middle School.
Residents in the Cedar Creek area are not far from a variety of recreation options. To the north of the neighborhood is Langford Cove and the Shutes Branch Recreation Area. This park has facilities for picnicking and camping. There is also a mountain biking trail.
Peeler Park and the Ravenwood Country Club are 10-minutes east of Cedar Creek. The country club offers its members 18 holes of golf, swimming, and tennis facilities. Peeler Park has multiple paths for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It is part of the Nashville/Davidson County Greenway Trail System. The Stone River Bike Path winds past the southern edge of the Ravenwood Country Club. It continues and connects to the Two Rivers Park. Two Rivers Park is home to the Wave Country Pool. Next to the park is the historic Two Rivers Mansion and the McGavock Comprehensive High School.
Cedar Creek is only five miles north of Nashville Shores Park. A large water park and resort area, Nashville Shores features a lazy river, a beach swimming area, and several waterpark rides and attractions. Along the shores of Percy Priest Lake, this is a popular park for both residents and tourists. Nashville Shores Park is also home to the Nashville Shores Marina, a favored area location for boat parking and launching.
