The city of Hermitage is home to the subdivision of Brookcastle, which is located at the city’s northeastern boundary. The neighborhood lies a little over two miles north of Interstate 40 and is under a mile from Highway 70. Driving along Highway 70 is considered one of the more scenic drives in the state, as it takes travelers past many historic buildings. Other subdivisions surrounding Brookcastle include Sunset Park, Hidden Hills, and Cedar Creek.
Residents of Brookcastle fall into the Wilson County School District, so children in the neighborhood attend Dodson or Tulip Drove Elementary Schools. Both of these are under a mile from Brookcastle. Summit Medical Center is less than three miles from Brookcastle.
