The Amqui Station neighborhood is north of the center of Madison, Tennessee and is also north of Nashville. Amqui Station shares the 37115 zip code and is part of Davidson County.
Amgui Station is situated between Pierce Road on the west and Snow Avenue of the east. Cedar Wood Lane loops through the northern portion and meets with an extension of Pierce Road that ends in a cul-de-sac. On both the east and west side of the neighborhood, there are cul-de-sacs with the similar name of Cedarwood Lane.
Ellers Golf Course is east of the neighborhood and can be reached by way of the Old Hickory Boulevard Bridge, also known as Route 45. Madison Park is just south of the neighborhood above Route 45. Old Hickory Lake Park and the Rockland Recreation Area are a short drive to the east for Amqui Station residents. The lake provides many recreational areas for camping, boating, fishing and hiking.
Commuters will find Route 31 East just west of the development. Route 31 intersects with Route 45 to the southwest. Interstate 65 is a short drive away to the west of Amqui Station. Residents will find plenty of shopping opportunities at Old Towne Village to the south and even more to the north. The Rivergate Mall Shopping Center, Rivergate Plaza Shopping Center, Marketplace at Rivergate and several other shopping centers are just north, where Interstate 65 meets Route 386.
The actual Amqui Station was built in 1910. It was scheduled for demolition and in 1979, Johnny Cash moved the station to his land in Hendersonville. He restored the station and upon his death, Amqui Station was moved back to Madison and has been turned into a museum and visitor’s center.
