Lakes of Forest Hill Apartments for Rent
Lakes of Forest Hill, in Memphis, is a growing neighborhood. While much of it is still undeveloped wetlands and groves, Lakes of Forest Hill is a fully-equipped neighborhood with a school, retail shops, and residential streets. On top of that, it’s near a major freeway, Bill Morris Parkway (Highway 385), which connects the community with greater Memphis.
The community is bound by Shelby Drive to the south, Forest Hill Irene Road to the east, Highway 385 to the north, and a residential enclave on Powder Mill Road to the west.
The area west and south of Long Creek Road is mostly residential with a small lake, undeveloped wetland, and wooded groves. Small residential streets are on Lipscomb Drive east of Long Creek Road.
The largest facility within the community is Southwind Middle School, off of Lowrance Road. It is a feeder school for the much larger Southwind High School, further south on Shelby Drive.
A major attraction in this community isn’t the lake. Instead, off of Bill Morris Parkway to the east is Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The complex has 16 soccer fields and a 2,500 seat stadium. These fields hold numerous state and national tournaments for high school and semi-professional soccer teams. It is also where the Memphis Twilight Invitational, the largest nighttime cross-country race in the US, is held.
To the north of the community is Windyke Country Club, a private 18-hole golf course and club house.
