Frayser Citizens Alert is a neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee. It is part of Shelby County. The neighborhood’s northern boundary is formed by Rand Avenue, and to the west is Laredo Street. The southern boundary touches Stage Avenue and the eastern border is undefined. The area is heavily wooded and solely residential.
Directly north of the neighborhood is Whitney Road Park. The park is a large open space, with ample room to run, play a spontaneous game of Frisbee, catch, or soccer. To the east of the Frayser Citizens Alert neighborhood is the Frayser Park. The park features tennis courts, wide open spaces, and trails. Also in the vicinity is the Lazarov Park and the Oberle-Watkins Park.
In May, Memphis itself hosts the Memphis in May Festival, which combines four small festivals into one month. These include the Beale Street Musical Festival, the Sunset Symphony, International Week and the World Championship Barbeque Cook-Off. While in Memphis, visitors can explore the city’s other entertainment options, such as the Memphis Botanic Garden, the Historic Crystal Shrine, or the Orpheum Theater. Frayser Citizens Alert is just a short commute away from all of these attractions as well as a host of others.
Frayser Citizens Alert is also located near many shopping centers, dining options and entertainment opportunities. The Mississippi River is nearby, as is the General Dewitt Spain Airport, both of which are north of the neighborhood.
