Located in Shelby County, the unincorporated community of Cordova sits on the northeast side of Memphis, just 23 miles from the downtown center. Residents of Cordova enjoy easy access to I-40 and many major retail and commercial centers.

The Wolf River lies to the south of Cordova, offering many outdoor recreational areas. In addition, Bert Ferguson Park is a 48-acre park that includes soccer fields, ball fields, tennis courts, a pavilion, playground, a fitness trail, and a community center.

Historic sites include Cordova Station and the Walter Granville Allen House. Cordova also has a historic downtown area with unique shops and restaurants. The Cordova Community Center is also on the National Register of Historic Places.

What began as a small farming village in 1835 still retains its rural feel, with plenty of farms and green spaces in addition to parks and recreational areas. If Cordova is your next apartment rental location, you’ll appreciate its inherent Southern charm.
