Even though it is the youngest town in Rhode Island, West Warwick ranks 10th in population. Located on the west bank of the Pawtuxet River in Kent County, West Warwick was incorporated in 1913. It is home to some of the earliest textile mills in the United States, and many are still in operation.
West Warwick contains many small villages, including Arctic, Centerville, and Riverpoint. Riverpoint is home to the Original Bradford Soap Works, a still-operating mill that produces popular soap brands.
Residents enjoy Riverpoint Park, located on the Pawtuxet River, where jogging, boating, and biking are common activities. There’s also a busy shopping area and many restaurants. Being only an hour from Boston, a short distance from Providence, and 30 minutes from Newport, West Warwick has a lot to offer those looking for rental apartments in the center of it all.
