Downtown Portland and its attractions are close to the neighborhood. The 43.51-acre Council Crest Park is the highest point in Portland, is located at the top of a hill. Visitors hiking to its top are rewarded with breathtaking views of Portland and the Cascade Range. Its natural setting and scenic views, the park is a favorite site for outdoor weddings. The park offers picnic tables, public art, and hiking trails. An off-leash area is provided for dogs. At the Museum of Contemporary Craft, a gallery of displays and exhibits feature the art of over 100 regional and national artists. Exhibits are rotated on a quarterly basis.
Bicycle trails wind around Portland and connect statewide. The one and half-mile Eastbank Esplanade is a unique walking and bicycling experience. Located between the Willamette River and Interstate 5, it includes a 1,200-foot floating walkway.
