Renaissance is a neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 74104 zip code. The boundaries are East 15th Street to the south, South Harvard Avenue to the east, East 11th Street to the north, and South Lewis Avenue to the west. This is an older, more established, mostly residential neighborhood. There are businesses on some of the border streets. Sidewalks in the neighborhood and lots of mature trees make it a good place to walk. It is located east of downtown Tulsa.

Just north of the neighborhood is The University of Tulsa. This is a private university that is coed and offers a variety of educational opportunities. There are 59 undergraduate, 35 graduate, and 10 doctoral programs offered. Among the programs are law, nursing, and business. Over 4,000 students attend the university, where the average class size is less than 20.

Turner Park is just a short walk or drive from the neighborhood. It is a nine-acre park that includes a community center with a gym and a variety of programs for residents of all ages, The park has shaded walking trails, a playground, tennis courts, and picnic tables. There is a pool at the community center.

Utica Square, which was Tulsa’s first suburban shopping center over fifty years ago, is now very much a part of midtown Tulsa. It offers a variety of shops, services, and restaurants and is a short drive southwest of the neighborhood. In addition, there are events throughout the year that take place at Utica Square, such as Arts in the Square and Summer’s 5th Night. Ann Taylor LOFT, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Jos. A. Bank, and Pier 1 are just a few of the retailers. Shoppers can stop for a Starbucks coffee, or conduct business at the US Post Office.
