Windsor Forest is a neighborhood on the western side of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, just east of Lake Overholser and south of Lake Hefner along Northwest 23rd Street. It’s a working-class residential neighborhood known for its strong sense of community and friendly, hard-working residents.

The Windsor Hills Shopping Plaza is within easy walking distance, allowing for all the day-to-day shopping needs of residents. This includes a new movie theater that has been brought to the neighborhood due in part to the efforts of the neighborhood association, Windsor Area Neighborhood Development (WAND), which has been working to bring local merchants into the area, beginning with the theater.

Because of its two lakes and a number of great parks — which include Leia Park and Jeffrey Park — this is an ideal neighborhood in which to take a long walk along tree-lined streets or in grassy recreational areas. There are ample open areas that make this a nice place to raise kids and walk the dog. There are also a number of churches in the area. These include Forest Hill Christian Church and Vietnamese Community Church.

Windsor Forest is known as a friendly, safe, and affordable location in which to settle down. It is on the edge of Oklahoma City, but since it is within minutes of the Northwest 39th Expressway, it is possible to get anywhere in the metropolitan area pretty quickly, making the community a good choice for someone who works in the city but wants a yard and house in which to raise a family.
