The Crossing is a townhome community at the border of Edmond and Oklahoma City, on Memorial Road and the Broadway Extension. Homes in the neighborhood have covered garages and are generally part of a four-plex townhome. At the center of the development, a clubhouse, pool, grassy area, and tennis court provide community gathering spaces. This is also an ideal place for dog-owners to take their pets on a walk.
The Crossing is well situated to take advantage of both Edmond and Oklahoma City. Edmond is an affluent suburb known for its great public school system and the large suburban university, the University of Central Oklahoma. The smaller Oklahoma Christian University is also just a few blocks to the east of the Crossing.
The major thoroughfares that pass by the Crossings are the Broadway Extension and Kilpatrick Turnpike. The Broadway Extension (I-235) is the best way to get into Downtown Oklahoma City, which will allow Crossings residents easy access to downtown for work and play. About 70,000 jobs are found in the Central Oklahoma City area along the Broadway Extension. Residents at the Crossings will likely decide to purchase a PikePass from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, as the Kilpatrick Turnpike is a great express route to the west, where the major shopping area around Quail Springs Mall offers attractions like the city’s only IMAX 3D movie theater.
Being located in Edmond is great for people who love parks and golf courses. Hafer Park and Mitch Park are first-class facilities with nice pavilions for picnics and athletic complexes for tennis, baseball, basketball, and swimming. Kickingbird Golf Club is not far from the Crossing, and further north is the famous Oak Tree Golf Club which has hosted several national tournaments.
The Crossing is appropriately named because it is a neighborhood that is at a major crossroads, enabling residents to take advantage of all the amenities of both Edmond and Oklahoma City.
