Although Amelia Earhart is known as the most famous female pilot, the museum has records of Blanche Scott, who was the first woman pilot in 1910. In 1912, Harriet Quimby became the first licensed pilot to fly across the English Channel. Since then, licensed women pilots have contributed their skills to aviation, including the military, airlines and space.
