The Meadows is a neighborhood of single-family homes in the far northwest corner of Oklahoma City. The neighborhood lies just south of the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Council Road

While many suburban areas quickly see the natural land around them get eaten by development, the Meadows will always sit adjacent to one of the largest nature preserves in the city. Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge is a 1000-acre park with an amazing diversity of natural terrains. For nature-lovers, Stinchcomb is a paradise of bird-watching, where hundreds of species can be spotted. Visitors can either walk the trails or rent kayaks and paddle through the reserve’s network of rivers and lakes.

The Meadows’ major shopping corridor begins just a mile away along the Northwest Expressway. This busy thoroughfare is lined with favorite national chain stores and local retailers. At the end of this stretch sits the upscale Penn Square Mall. The Northwest Expressway also has a large concentration of office campuses, towers, and medical centers. Further down along the Expressway, drivers can get access to the Lake Hefner Parkway, which allows swift travel to north Oklahoma City or to downtown via connections to Interstate 40.

Downtown Oklahoma City is the region’s greatest asset. Here, residents can enjoy a great nightlife with bars, clubs, and restaurants. The Oklahoma City Arena is the home of the new Thunder NBA basketball team, which has become a symbol of the city’s renaissance. Beautiful museums such as the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Oklahoma City National Memorial are also downtown.
