This area was once known as having one of the largest amusement parks in the area. The Springlake Amusement Park, established in 1922, was open to both swimmers and families picnicking. Springlake Park, Perry Park, Phillips Park, Oklahoma City Zoological Park, Pitts Park, and the huge Lincoln Park can all be found within blocks of Springlake. Those parks are filled with playgrounds, golf areas, and walking trails.
