Eldon Lyon Park is one of Bethany’s many parks. It is 60 acres with 1.5 miles of trails, a playground, and ball fields. Lake Overholser is the city’s oldest reservoir, built in 1919 The Overholser Dam is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a popular location for boating, fishing, sailing, and jet skiing.
The Freedom Festival has been a tradition in Bethany for 50 years. The 2010 festival will be Bethany’s centennial celebration. The event includes a carnival, games, live music, and a parade. Rent an apartment in Bethany and be part of this friendly city.
